1. French Southern Territories: Status of Îles Éparses changed to district.

Other data added:

1. Bhutan: Updated populations to 2005 census; better area data.
2. Greece: Updated populations to 2001 census.
3. Greenland: Updated populations to 2000 estimates.
4. Guyana: Updated populations to 2002 census; added to change history.
5. Iran: Added 1991 and 2006 census data; revised areas.
6. Kyrgyzstan: Added one FIPS code.
7. Lebanon: Corrected one error in population estimates.

Secondary divisions:

1. Bhutan: Added a table of gewogs, replacing subdistricts as secondary divisions.
2. France: Arcachon arrondissement created.
3. Guyana: Added councils.
4. Israel: Added subdistrict codes.

Time zones:

1. Venezuela: Expected to change time zone on 2008-01-01.
