Changes affecting status:

1. Mauritania: One region split into three.

Other data added:

ISO 3166-2 announced some changes to its listings for 25 countries on 2014-12-18. Many of the changes were purely technical, e.g., alignment of country names with UNTERM. There are no changes affecting codes. Minor changes are noted in the appropriate places on this site.

1. Guinea-Bissau: Replaced provisional population data.

Secondary divisions:

1. Egypt: Added secondary subdivisions.
2. Guinea-Bissau: Replaced provisional population data.
3. Luxembourg: Added communes.
4. Mauritania: Some departments belong to one of the new regions.
